Astoundingly beautiful resort hotel. The views and landscape are breathtaking. World famous golf course needs to be played to be believed. There were a few moments with the service and other features that were less than five star but few and far between. Food was fantastic most times. Perfect for a couples retreat, family getaway or company function. Rustic antique design couples with modern amenities to make this a truly unique experience. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for lunch and the service was amazing. Every single staff member greeted us and was friendly and helpful. We chose the hotel bar for the outdoor views and the food and drinks were lovely. Loved all of the restaurant choices it was difficult to choose but we will be back.

The building is beautiful and historic and the grounds are gorgeous.

One of my favorite hotels EVER! I love coming back here no matter what the season is, but especially fall and Christmas time. The food at every restaurant is amazing, the staff is incredibly nice and helpful, and all the amenities are top-notch. Would highly recommend the Broadmoor so much that we got married here! Also, my husband loves the golf courses here they are some of his favorite.

This place is absolutely stunning! I stayed here as a child and it was fun just to come back and walk the grounds. It was a gorgeous day and the flowers are so on point they almost don’t look real! There’s gorgeous artwork to look at in the lobby, a fabulous little coffee shop that’s really pricey. It has amazing optionsand a gorgeous lake outback overlooking the mountains.

Remarkable old hotel that is very well maintained by a professional friendly staff. I enjoyed the hospitality as it was refreshing

The room was comfortable and clean. The concierge staff was friendly and on target with our off premise activities.

The check in and out process was smooth and quick. The valet service was really fast as well. This is one of the few places I’ve been lately that was not understaffed.

Would definitely stay here again

Beautiful historic hotel and gardens on the National Historic Register. Lovely shops and restaurants. Great hospitality and service.
Extensive art collection exhibition in the lobby and halls along with artifacts of the founding owners. A must experience in Colorado Springs, CO located at the base of Pikes Peak Mountain, another historic attraction.

If you have never been, I encourage you to try it. I happen to live nearby, so I can stop by for dining or shopping anytime I feel like it. But for those who can't, you can enjoy Western luxury by making a trip to the Broadmoor.

Be forewarned: It is expensive*, and that means so are the meals, activities, shopping, etc. But that's what vacations are for. To splurge a little and make a life-long memory. If you can afford to stay here, you will likely refer to this trip for decades to come.

• Sitting by the lake, listening to the quarterly chimes from the Shrine to the Sun, watching a black and white swan with sweeping elegance;
• Perusing some of Mr. Spenser Penrose’s odds and ends from the early twentieth century, golfing in the shade of Cheyenne Mountain, listening to the splash of a fountain to quiet one’s soul;
• Being enraptured by the museum-like quality of the art everywhere you turn, a bridge over quiet waters, and a tiny little weeping mulberry tree;
• Sitting in a nook in the library, marveling at the life-size gingerbread house in December, and of course, the invigorating, pervasive fresh pine-mountain air.

These are some of the things I love about the Broadmoor. I invite you to come, take your rest and have holiday.

By the way, if you enjoy history, you can spend a day just stopping at all of the displays set up along the walls, everywhere you go. Shopping abounds--also, check the Rock/Gem store and feel like you take home a piece of the Earth. And if you want to go for a car ride, you might also like to check out the Garden of the Gods, Air Force Academy, Olympic Center, and heaps of other local attractions.

*While the Broadmoor is genuinely world-class, it is reputed that Aspen, CO boasts even a finer establishment (Little Nell). But remember, Aspen was founded as a place for billionaires to raise their children...and it’s another three hours away by car.

I've been to many 5 star hotels all over the world. The Broadmoor is very beautiful as you would expect. The problem is you walk away feeling you've been nickel and dimed at every turn. You expect everything to be priced at "resort" pricing. I get that, but even the "grab and go" coffee and tea is an additional 10% service charge. Restaurant dining is a 20% service charge. Room service is 24% plus $6 delivery plus tip. Daily "resort charge" is another $42. My room was average at $805.00. It's not the guests job to directly pay the staff. Definitely, not left with a good feeling being nickel and dimed.||The restaurant Ristorante Del Lago delivered one of our entrees under cooked and cold. We asked them to try again and they did. More importantly they missed the opportunity to comp a desert, glass of wine or comp that particular entrée. Again, you walk away with a less impressive experience. ||Too many things not right, so I can't recommend this hotel.
