The chicken Benedict was extremely salty and the cochon one had zero flavor. The guy sitting next to me ordered the literal same thing as me and had the same issue. I had 2 bites of each and left the rest. Nothing was done about it. The cinnamon pancake was good at least. Maybe I had bad luck. But just a no for now. The server was nice ?.

We’ve been to Ruby Slipper a few times now (starting in 2014 at the Canal Street location, which I believe recently reopened!). It never disappoints. I highly recommend the Southern Breakfast (particularly if you’re a tourist swept up in the romanticism of “fried green tomatoes” and “grits” like me), and their Bloody Mary is great. The special thing though about the menu is the “Peacemaker”, the ability to mix and match two types of incredible Eggs Benedict off their menu for a really reasonable price. Highly recommend the Chicken St Charles and Eggs Cochon. The French Toast Bites are addictive, but just get the starter portion to share (especially if ordering other dishes). The service is good, and there are a few familiar faces who I’ve seen year after year, which hopefully means it’s a good place to work. Its is always VERY busy though so do be prepared to wait (for a table and for your food/drinks). The coffee is good too, and bottomless, but I’d recommend a Bourbon Milk Punch or Mimosa too - the Mimosa Flight isn’t that great (it looks cool though), I thought it tasted a bit odd and it was quite expensive.

Came to New Orleans on vacation and of all the places I had breakfast, this was my favorite! My group ordered the White Chocolate bread pudding pancakes with applewood bacon, fried green tomatoes, The Trifecta, and the sweet heat chicken and French toast bites. The pancakes were the most decadent pancakes I ever ate in my entire life. This was our first time ever having fried green tomatoes and they were scrumptious! The Trifecta was the perfect combination of three of their signature Eggs Benedict and I can not decide which one was my favorite. The sweet heat chicken with the french toast bites was to die for! I got the mimosa flight, which was also very good. All the food was amazing!

The service was prompt and friendly, confirming that Southern hospitality is not a myth. Whether you are a local or a visitor, I highly recommend Ruby Slipper. I’d give them more stars, but 5 was the limit!

The staff was INCREDIBLY helpful and kind. Everyone was accommodating to us. All the staff went above and beyond to help accommodate while being friendly and professional as well

The wait was really long and not sure how to manage that better as the service was quick. The food wasn’t worth a 2+ hour wait, but if you can get a table in under an hour would 10/10 recommend

The food is seasoned well and delicious. I ate the fried green tomatoes (picture not shown because I finished them so quickly before I realized I didn’t take a pic). Shrimp and grits - they’re a little heavy on the gravy but it pairs well with the creamy thick grits (which had no lumps). The biscuits are good, especially when you wash it down with lavender Paloma - it’s refreshing and makes you feel like you’re on an island.
The staff is friendly and service was great.

Food was decent for what it was. Biscuit was very dry and hard. Not warm when it was served. Berry pancakes with Chantilly cream were okay. Chicken and French toast bites were too sweet and the French toast not so good. The service was awful. Our waitress was very not good and checked on us one time.

A solid place for a classic southern breakfast. I got the Chicken St Charles and enjoyed it. Because the fired chicken was lightly battered, it wasn’t heavy but still had a good texture. The biscuits were good, doughy not flakey, but that’s just preference. The sauce was super decent and cheesy and was the highlight of the dish. I will say through, the eggs were overcooked so there was no runny yolk.

The beignets were great. Because they are small, there were able to get nice and crispy. They were not overly doughy and not too sweet.

If you do want a sweeter experience, the Apple Beignets are worth getting. It comes with a sweeter experience cream cheese dip and sliced apples. It is super rich and filling where the regular beignets were more akin to a light snack.

The Ruby Slipper is a great spot if you find yourself in the area.

Got the mix and match eggs Benedict chicken and pork ... chicken was better than the pork but both decent...however, I don't think anything can beat my husband's egg and crab Benny's. Overall Ruby's was a nice little breakfast/brunch place.
