A great space to work or meet up/hang out at. Lots of seating available. They have a little market at the front filled with the cutest home goods and art pieces. Loved the iced latte I order.

The 1 star of this review can count for the interior of the place which is adorable and has tons of seating! Unfortunately, the coffee I got (cappuccino) was SO acidic and bitter that I chose to throw it away. I thought it might just be my coffee, but my friend got an iced latte that had a similar flavor and was barely tolerable. I think they might roast their coffee in-house? If they do, they certainly should consider outsourcing.

My second visit at this coffee shop was a quick stop on my walk with my puppies. It was quite hot out and I wanted to grab a bite to eat and some water for the doggies. I am well aware that most coffee shops and restaurants do not allow dogs inside because of laws regarding food service facilities, but I generally never have an issue bringing them inside a coffee shop for a second while I order and then going right back out.

As soon as I walked through the door, I was told that I was not allowed to even step inside with my dogs. I complied and left my dogs tied up outside while I went to order, but I found this incredibly strict and unwelcoming. Additionally, I ordered a quiche which was a tiny slice for $8.

Incredibly unimpressed with this coffee shop. I think it has the potential to be substantially improved with better coffee and kind service.

Atmosphere and setup of this coffee shop is so nice. Very large space with ample seating and even a little shop with local art and store merch. The North Woods is absolutely delicious. I'm not sure how they make their cold brew but it is superb! Some of the best I've had in the Twin Cities. The Northshore Latte is also a win. Not too sweet and perfectly spiced. Sea salt Mocha is yet another win! Deep chocolate notes and not too sweet either. Didn't try any of the baked goods or food but they all looked quality as well. Went here twice in one weekend it was so good! Will definitely be back! My new favorite neighborhood spot!

This is officially my new favorite coffee shop in Minneapolis. The vibe is 10/10 and coffee was even better! I love that it’s such a huge space, and the atmosphere (even on a Saturday morning) was calm and chill. I can’t wait to go back!

This cafe has undoubtedly struck the right chord with their inviting ambiance, tasty coffee, and a team of friendly baristas. Their spacious setting is perfect for both social gatherings and head down working time. Morning hours might get really crowded, but that’s great for the business. Their cup of cortado and a chocolate pistachio croissant were excellent. I will be coming back!

I live in the neighborhood and often stop by for a cup of coffee. My drink of choice is drip coffee- black. I am pretty particular about drinking good coffee.. Northern Coffeeworks, consistently serves an excellent cup of coffee-every single time. Service is friendly and professional. The place is spacious and friendly. Might i put in couchier couches and chairs in one or two areas? a little more plunk/dive into them feel? I might. But truly a great space, people and awesome coffee.

Found this place just surfing Google Maps. Decided to stop by to do some studying and work. I think it’s one of my favorite coffee shops in the twin cities now. Great interior design and vibes. Enjoyed the North Shore Latte I got (part of the winter menu, had brown sugar syrup and cardamom bitters). Would recommend coming here! There’s also a pastry bakery right next door which is convenient if you’d like to get a pastry there and coffee here. From some of the photos online, I thought it was going to be smaller but it was bigger than I expected and had plenty of seating and tables for studying. Music is pleasant and a tad quieter than some shops which I prefer.

Good coffee and high-quality beans. I love that their drinks are inventive but never too sweet. I recommend the North Shore latte and the Espresso Dorothy. Love that they have Marc Heu pastries as well.
