The quality spoils you. After a few visits here, most other chocolates just taste like wax. Fun to visit.
Life is short. Eat good quality chocolates.

Excellent confections! I absolutely love the truffles (special mention to chai and lavendar). Sea salt caramels in chocolate are my repeat purchases every time I shop there. Good spot for gifts!

I know people who would mortgage their children for a trip through Kakoa. They have a great variety of flavors, and the chocolate is made fresh. If you have a yen for chocolate, you should spend your summer vacation here.

Great premium chocolate. This time I went in on Valentine's day & the selection is massive, without skimping on quality. Honestly, this is the best chocolate in St.Louis.
The staff is welcoming & helpful as always.
The chocolate has a nice snap when bitten & rich velvety texture. Flavors are inventive & trendy with a wide selection for all pallets. I recommend getting a variety of the barks for a fun tasting experience.!

Kakao is amazing! Their chocolate is truly remarkable--they have a huge variety of really original chocolate treats, and at very reasonable price points. I haven't had anything from them that wasn't interesting, creative, and delicious! As a vegan, I also very much appreciate that they have a great assortment of vegan options (and also cater to a wide range of diets and allergies, and make it very clear which of their chocolates fit these specific criteria.) Highly recommend!

I’ve come here randomly over the years and love this place! They have the best truffles I’ve ever tasted. I have gotten the truffles as gifts before. Very creamy, with strong, well balanced flavors. Top notch

Saying this as kindly as possible and merely wanting to leave my experience. I mean no I’ll will, I just wanted to voice my thoughts. The truffles are certainly nice, which is why I came there. The website said they were $34 for a 16-piece. When I showed up and purchased them at the counter, I’m asked “which box would you like,” so I chose one. When paying, the price seemed off, but I thought that was due to taxes. When leaving and checking the receipt, it was at least $5 off. I called and asked why and was told the box had a cost and wasn’t free. I asked if there were any free boxes to choose and they said there wasn’t. I’m just confused because how do I get 16 truffles home without putting them in a box? Plus, I wasn’t given an option to not use a box. Also, looking at the receipt, it doesn’t differentiate that the box costed; it lumps the truffles and box together. To me, this added fee for the box just felt deceptive. And for $5? Again, I’m not intending to smear or ridicule. I just think those things should’ve been made more clear in the transaction process.

Not what I was expecting in terms of selection. It's fine for a quick visit and maybe pick up some coffee. I expected more, however my tastes are selective. I would recommend this place for people new to chocolate tasting beyond a Hershey bar. If you are experienced you may want to look elsewhere, but a visit would not hurt. Cheers.
