Cuuute place! Went hrre for Mother's Day. Lots of seating in this modern brick industrial coffee shop. Only ate baked goods & coffee, but their breakfast items looked really good. Will try those next time. Was nice enough for the main glass garage doors to be open that day.

This spot is a good spot to grab a coffee. We had breakfast here, but I ended up disappointed. The pictures on Google made it look great, but it didn’t live up to our expectations. So, I’d say lower your expectations before you visit. The place is small, and the staff wasn’t very friendly. What really got on my nerves was the bagel. They just gave me all the ingredients on a plate, and I had to put it together myself, which I found annoying. Overall, the coffee was decent, nothing too special. But be prepared, it’s on the pricey side.

Overall great experience, but the music was deafening. Truly no one I know comes to a coffee shop in the same way as they go to a night club… we’d rather have it a bit quieter please!
But the coffee was good and the layout is lovely with great natural light and open spaces with pretty plants. Mostly on par here except the music.
Also… I don’t know enough about coffee to really review a place based on its quality so look to other reviews for that.
Parking is mostly available in the summer. Winter can be dicey when it snows.

Cool place, good vibes, okay service. Living in the North Loop I have the luxury of having amazing cafes to benchmark them against. Food was great, don’t get me wrong. But prices are extremely high compared to higher caliber food in the North Loop. $5.75 for just a croissant? $15 for a croissant with prosciutto and cheese? You can get the best ham and cheese croissant in the city at Bellecor in the north loop for $6 and the best breakfast sandwich in the state for $15 there as well. Don’t want to distract from how great our food was here, but won’t be back given the value. We spent over $50 for a breakfast sandwich, slice of banana bread, a prosciutto croissant, an Americano and a chai tea latte… that’s a lot. Saw a couple come in, look at the menu and then turn around and walk a block down to Turtle Bread instead.

3 Cafe Ceres in town. They have a good combo of food and coffee. Cappuccinos have been tasty, but I like the breakfast sandwiches even more. Just fresh and yummy. The treats looks amazing, but haven’t tried’m yet. Easy peasy parking on the street. This one has a ton on inside space. Another one of “local chain” coffee shops that has done a good job of duplicating good taste and atmosphere.

I love going to Cafe Ceres for the vibes and the unique coffee and pastries they offer. Go for the specialty unique flavors!

Whenever I visit, there are lots of other patrons who are working and having in person meetings, business or personal. It’s definitely not a quiet place, it’s buzzing with music and conversations. I like that background noise while I’m working so it’s perfect for me!

Good: Coffee and other drinks, all unique and worth trying. Seasonal bakery items. I like that the owners are involved and are introducing new items like pizza and ice cream. Bad: All French pastries are dry and have no taste, as if they were made a few days ago or the baking measurements were off. Ugly: Sadly, service, not the baristas but the cashier. I stopped walking there for almost a year for more than one valid reason. However, I noticed it is improving with an all-men crew running the front. Wish list: lactose-free, real full-fat cow milk, proper NY bagel, and please don’t run out of items by 10 a.m. on weekdays.

We are totally addicted to Cafe Ceres. They have really unique coffee flavors and they absolutely nailed the sweetness level on all of them. Flavored coffee tend to skew quite sweet but Cafe Ceres balances their drinks wonderfully. My current favorite is the ras el hanout latte.

Don't miss the pastries either- they were all absolutely wonderful with excellent seasonal variety.
