Just spent 4 nights here during the Pacific Airshow. Of course, the place was jammed, and MANY events were going on. But we definitely got the impression they staffed up extremely well, and everything went exceptionally well. Overall customer service throughout the hotel was amazing given the crowds. Professional, friendly, fast, helpful. The hotel was looking very good...the staff kept up with the high demand very well. Cabo restaurant was excellent. Beach resort prices, but the food was very good. Breakfast buffet was worth the $35pp. Dinner was tasty, wide range of items, large servings, very fast service. ||The only negative in the whole stay was a single incident at the Surf Hero Cafe. They switch to lunch items at noon. We ordered pizza right at noon...the first to order. 35 minutes later, two excellent pizzas came out. They are a pretty popular coffee shop, and the food is pretty good. But 35 minutes for the first pizza? We ordered breakfast there our last day, and it came out in a very reasonable time.

Have been visiting this hotel for many years. One of the reasons I keep coming back is the amazing location where virtually every room, if not all, has some view of the ocean right across the street. If you don't want to swim in the ocean, there are two large pools on the property, and it is within walking distance of downtown attractions and nightlife. The housekeeping staff are excellent and help keep the rooms bright and fresh. Always a pleasure to come back.

Great location and nice hotel. Attended for a conference. Catering staff were super accommodating to dietary restrictions. Nice pools. Right across from the beach. Beautiful views. Clean and spacious rooms. Enjoyed my stay and I would recommend this resort for vacation or conference.

Had a problem getting there from the East Coast with plane difficulty. Plane was delayed 15 hours. Expecting to lose my reservation, I called the Hotel and talked to a manager named Sean, He could not have been nicer. He assured me he would cancel my reservation and rebook so that I would not be charged for the first night I would be missing. Total piece of mind when I really needed it. Upon checkin the next day I was greeted by a front desk employee named James. Another true gentleman. Was sorry to hear about about day before problem, searched for a room for early arrival and upgraded to an ocean view room on a higher floor. Great view and a great way to make up for our lost time. Everybody was very pleasant. Food choices, good. Nice pool , grounds and perfect location. If I really had to search to find a negative, the Rooftop bar. Beautiful view with firepits and very welcoming. My problem, I ordered a Martini. i expected a premium price because of location. Problem was they charged me $16 for the martini (ok) but $4 for the PREP to make it . $4 for a martini prep ? What ? Never heard such a rip. Ok, only complaint and MAYBE a minor one, but that was our last trip to that bar. . Otherwise a GREAT place to stay and a special shoutout to Sean and James. Two truly professional employees .

Recently stayed 5 nights at this resort and it met my expectations. Place is beautiful. Pools are great for kids and the walking distance to the beach is great. Drinks are the bar aren't too shabby either. We'll gladly stay here again.

Valet does need some help. Depending on time and day it can get crazy.

Most Memorable Wedding at the Waterfront Hilton, Huntington Beach!

We recently celebrated our son’s wedding at the Waterfront Hilton in Huntington Beach, and we cannot express enough how exceptional our experience was! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in great hands.

The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful, with its breathtaking oceanfront location providing the perfect backdrop for such a special occasion. A huge thanks to Melissa Huerta, the Senior Catering Manager, who did an outstanding job helping us plan multiple events. Her flawless coordination ensured every detail was handled with precision and perfection.
The service was exceptional – everything was impeccably organized, allowing the event to unfold seamlessly from start to finish. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Hilton support staff, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of. Their professionalism and attentiveness were evident throughout the celebration, making all our guests feel welcome and well-cared for.

And the food? Simply outstanding! Chef Lewis outdid himself, with every dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. The drinks were excellent, offering a wide variety to suit everyone's tastes – a special shout-out to Richard and his team for their stellar service.

We are incredibly grateful to the Waterfront Hilton for playing such an integral role in making our son’s wedding day truly unforgettable. Thank you for helping us create cherished memories that will last a lifetime!

The hotel is great, but the Front Desk leadership team needs to do better. Argued with me about the fact they didn’t inform me of hotel amenities rolled into a $40 resource charge. Instead of making things right, they insisted I should have clicked on links to discover this. Made smart remarks how this was “visible everywhere”, yet couldn’t produce evidence while combing through my confirmation email for 5 minutes. no apologies that they didn’t explain the options at checkin. This is the first time I’ve been disappointed with the stay at the Hilton.

We went here for my birthday and invited family members to join for the day. We’re locals but wanted to stay near the beach. I called days before to confirm with the front desk and they shared that it was the end of high season so don’t worry and it won’t be busy. Also that they will not require wrist bands for my other guests to enter the pool area. I invited my family and shared with them that there was no issue. Man was I fooled. It was so busy at the pool with absolutely NO safety process put in place. Kids and were running wild, drinks near the pool, kids kicking over our drinks, lots of kids jumping and flipping into the water. Some of the toddlers almost was hurt too, the carelessness of the people there. We had you pay this huge resort fees for the amenities but everything was gone, used up or so packed that you couldn’t enjoy your stay. They blocked out a quarter of the pool area for rent and no one rented it but it was just dead space. The pool was murky and dirty. Beach towels, toys and wagons were all gone and what ever was left was broken! Other guest were complaining too. We’re also diamond members and wasn’t treated like one. We stayed at 6 other Hilton, Waldorf Astoria resorts this year and this was by far the worst. I request more wrist bands and they gave me 3 and said they said I will have to buy them. When I requested to buy them. The front seat said they sold out. Overall this hotel is just a hotel and not a resort or anything close to it. The valet was the only people that was friendly and helpful. They need to make sure they do a better job making their guest feel welcome and regulate the amount of people in the pool area. Overall it wasn’t a good experience for $700 per night. I would no go here again and go to the resort next door.
