My wife & I recently visited this Marriott, as we often do when we are in town for business. The service is usually good, but on this particular visit, the service was absolutely top shelf.||It began with the diligent correspondence using the chat feature in the app with Pearl. She was so responsive and you could tell through the chat that it was so important for her to give the best service possible, absolutely amazing Pearl is, and very grateful for it. She made me feel like I was the only customer she had, and it was truly nonnegotiable to treat her guest any other way, then absolutely with courtesy and respect. Upon check-in, it was confirmed what a great personality she has, Marriott did an amazing job in hiring her! The same vibe was on display upon check out.||Later on, we realized we had forgotten our toothpaste, and Sabrina was at the front desk. She, too, acted like she was born to be in the hospitality business, and was absolutely wonderful.||Lastly, upon check out Malia was able to obtain some printed materials for me, had the brightest smile and again, Marriott did a wonderful job in picking their front desk employees.||With full disclosure, we are loyal to Marriott. It is just a wonderful thing, to be treated, so well, and is if people were waiting all day just for you to check in- especially when you’ve driven two hours, and have a lot of work stuff on your mind.||I recommend this hotel completely, as it also has wonderful rooms and a great location in Costa Mesa. Great job, Costa Mesa, Marriott!||So, I am going in to write a review and realize that I already wrote one!! Love this hotel and Its Front Desk Staff, as we stay here pretty frequently. Victoria is our latest Superstar at this hotel. She makes you feel like your issue is her issue and epitomizes what Hospitality looks like. I really cannot say enough about how great she is. She, along with Malia and Annie, were just amazing. I look forward to coming here each time, as there are a lot of choices, even other Marriott properties around the beautiful lake that the Property is on. The reason my wife and I keep coming back is the consistency of service. Thank you for hiring and hopefully taking exceptional care of these wonderful people!

Clean, Comfortable, and Economical.||This property offers an excellent experience for families, business travelers, and individuals. More importantly, for any type of guest the hotel hits three major marks of being clean, comfortable, and a fair value. ||While it's not a full service or luxury property, it is staffed by friendly, professional, and diligent associates; it has strong air conditioning in the lobby and rooms; and it has ample amenities to cater to everyone. The Front Desk staff truly care about their work and it shows.||The property is within walking distance to several shopping centers and is adjoined by a beautiful small park and lagoon. It is dog friendly and there is ample shaded walking paths, grass, and plants to keep man's best friends happy.||There is no room service, but the lobby offers a superb dining and bar experience. The quality of the service and F&B is the perfect combination of portions, flavor, and quality. The food is ample and well-prepared and the drinks are well-crafted. Their cocktail menu is pretty darn good and the bartenders are passionate and down-to-earth.||The hotel does have an M Club which is available 24/7, but it could use an improvement. The cups for coffee and water are frequently out of stock, the to-go chilled beverages could be restocked more often, and the evening appetizers lack variety and flavor. It would be nice to see cups and drinks restocked more often as well as seeing expanded options for the evening hot appetizer selection!||The hotel is also just 15 minutes from Disneyland and offers a much better experience than the Disneyland-Anaheim strip of hotels.||Overall, this hotel definitely deserves a visit!

I particularly appreciated the professionalism and kindness of the food & beverage manager Rachel, who is very attentive to the customers’ needs, she’s always available and friendly, she makes our experience at the hotel even greater. ||There are things that don’t work and bug me in terms of product (door to balcony stuck, AC malfunctions, wifi disconnects…), but such incredible service and dedication as Rachel demonstrates more than makes up for it

Parking is 39 dollars- so expensive!
The check-in process was easy. The M Club lounge was rather disappointing. The food was not diverse, simple foods. Slow refills with very many guests being competitive for foods. The lounge was packed. The coffee station was always ran out of cups. Snack options were chips and some granola bars. The breakfast was pretty simple as well.

Room itself was very nice. So spacious and clean. Especially the hot water on the tub, it was boiling hot. Ice machine was working great.

Stayed here recently for work as the office (and Starbucks) is right across a small, quiet street. When I came to check in, no rooms were available. Five minutes later when I inquired about cancelation in favor of the neighboring Westin, suddenly a room was open. Hmm, ok.||||The room was spacious, having a separate living area from the bedroom. The couch was dirty and smelled of fecal matter, but the bed was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning never seemed to actually cool the room, instead just blew hot air. Annoying. The weirdest thing was the toilet. If, as a dude, the toilet will soak you. In most toilets, the incoming/flushing water is from the rear; not here. It was definitely a surprise as I was not expecting to receive a heavy rinse. Fortunately I was about to shower. Speaking of, the shower was not a tub combo and provided great water pressure.||||The taco Tuesday was cool and they even had my favorite beer on tap. Would stay here again for the convenience, but would hope the room is totally clean and the ac works. Otherwise, would prefer someplace with an airport shuttle.

Food was absolutely awful! No refills on coffee when dining? Overpriced. Honestly the worst food quality I have EVER had at a Marriott. Bacon was rancid, hashbrowns were super spicy for some reason? My eggs were not cooked properly, and the only thing that was edible was the toast.... but that's hard to screw up. During dinner the bartender was very kind but there was only an extremely limited food menu to order dinner off, maybe 7 entrees? "Dinner" (two basic club sandwiches and 2 drinks) was $112 BEFORE tip! Breakfast was $62 BEFORE tip! My room was nice, mostly clean, and spacious, but only two bath towels for a king Suite?
Nickel and Dimed. I was not informed that parking was $39? My truck was too big to fit in the parking garage, so I am shocked as to why I was charged for this service I didn't use? No free WIFI either.
So, I suppose if you only stay in the room and budget an extra $39 per night whether you park in the structure on the property or not... the room wasn't bad but don't expect Marriott quality and service.

This hotel is a great modern very clean hotel in a great location. Very great service, Great General Manager, very helpful staff, and I will highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. There's a great Mall with amazing restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely be back when I visit!

You have to pay $40 to use their parking structure. I know, it's the lamest policy in the business, but there's no options. So, plan to include those extra $40 PER DAY in your lodging budget. Other than that, this place is pretty great. Excellent service, decent sized rooms, close to the beach, bars, restaurants and other attractions.
