Pretty unbelievable that this hotel committed FRAUD with my credit card information, it's been over a month, and I'm out hundreds of dollars. ||||I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my experience with this hotel has been extremely concerning, and I feel it's important to warn others before they book. I’m also hoping that sharing this publicly will prompt the hotel to resolve my refund more quickly.||||I reserved two rooms, but somehow, my credit card was charged for four. Yes, they used my credit card information to book rooms for people I don't know and I have still not been reimbursed in over a month. This situation is fraudulent and completely unacceptable. ||||After realizing this mistake, I contacted the hotel immediately, expecting it to be resolved quickly. Instead, I’ve spent over a month trying to get these unauthorized charges removed.||||Every time I call, I’m given inconsistent information. At one point, they claimed they couldn’t issue a refund without first confirming my email address, which makes no sense for a credit card reimbursement. I provided them with my email address multiple times, yet they misspelled it each time, and I have never received any email from their billing department asking me to confirm it. Additionally, despite being told multiple times I would be contacted, I never received a callback.||||What’s most alarming is that they used my card for additional bookings that weren’t mine, and I’m still waiting for the refund of two charges. While mistakes can happen, the fact that it’s taken this long with no resolution is highly concerning and unprofessional.||||I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties, but this experience has left me questioning their business quality. If you decide to stay here, please double-check your billing statements and be prepared for a frustrating resolution process if something goes wrong.

Right at the onset, I want to say that the employees at the hotel are great. They are all friendly, helpful, and willing to go out of their way to help guest. ||Unfortunately, that is about the best thing I can say about the hotel.||From the moment I arrived, it was pure disappointment and aggravation. The credit card machine was not working, so all guests were required to fill out paper forms with our credit card information, which is in itself, quite alarming. I hope that the hotel shredded these forms IF they ever got the technology fixed. It was definitely out all day. Given this situation, the lines were ridiculously long and there was only one poor woman at the check-in desk. She was running back and forth trying to help everyone, but she was only one person. That's why I go back to my statement that the employees are the only redeeming factor about this hotel.||In the room, the safe did not work. Again, your employees made it right by having it replaced almost immediately.||The A/C unit in the room was so loud it sounded like a truck in the room.||The Wifi was terrible. There were parts of the hotel where I could not even get a signal, even though I was using its wifi. Nothing would work until i stepped outside of the building.||And the water pressure in the shower was non-existent.||The hotel is an airport hotel. There is no charm about the area and the only reason to stay at this hotel is to either be near an airport or you are there for business in the adjacent business parks.||The pool area looks like a cement slab with a pool and hot tub in the middle. Absolutely charmless.||This would not have been my choice of hotel if I had a choice. I was there for business. And I couldn't check out fast enough.||Finally, upon checkout I opted for a copy of my bill to be emailed to me. I am still waiting. I even called, was told to request a copy via email which I did, but I still don't have a copy, which I need to submit to my company.||Lesson learned, never trust companies to send, particularly marriott to send anything. Demand a paper copy.

I have stayed here for over a week and I enjoyed every minute of it! From the food at Current Coastal Cuisine to the amenities to the customer service. I felt very welcome and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. Next time I am in Newport Beach area I will come back! Highly recommended!!

I have always stayed at this hotel when I am in the area, business or pleasure. I have had meetings here and rented a business room for them. The last couple of times I have come to Orange County and stayed here I feel the hotel has downgraded significantly. There used to be no charge for parking, now it is $43 per night self park and $48 per night valet. This is absolutely absurd and just another way to nickel and dime the people staying there. Being a titanium member it is starting to get old paying these high parking charges per night! In addition, the hotel never has an upgrade available any more. ||I stayed in Room 436, checked in on 9/22 and out on 9/27. Basic King Room. On 9/26, I noticed water running and dripping in the bathroom from the AC system vent through the light fixture in ceiling directly over the sink and down onto items on the counter. Significant leak at that time. Maintenance shows up 15 minutes later and says you will need to change rooms. It was quite an inconvenience and major hassle to pack up all my belongings and move to room 1058. I was told it was an upgraded room...nah, 10 floors up, same room but facing the pool is all. Maybe knock a night hotel or the parking off the bill would have been more appropriate. Very disappointed in the way this hotel has declined! ||The best part of the hotel is the service in the restaurant for breakfast! Luis and Zach are great and the ladies were also extremely helpful and polite. They get 5 stars...

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful furnishings. Excellent comfy beds! Friendly staff and the food was great. Nice hot showers too. Will definitely stay here again when we return for business.

We stayed at the Renaissance Newport for 5 days to visit family. It is a lovely property and pet friendly which I love. The service we received from every single employee we encountered was exceptional! Friendly, helpful and pleasant. I travel quire a bit and that isn't always the case. I will most definitely return for future family visits.

We like this hotel & have stayed here a few times. The rooms are large & modern. Beds are comfortable. The pool & spa area is fantastic. Front desk staff are great. Valet is awesome. I don’t line the $45 a day parking fee. The property is close enough to everything. We had room service twice and were disappointed both times. One breakfast & one dinner.
