We loved this hotel, would definitely stay there again! Hotel was extremely clean, staff could not have been nicer, and room was better than expected. Really liked how the bedroom, bathroom and lounge areas were separated for privacy if needed. We were in town for a beach wedding on Huntington Beach, this was a perfect stay for us. Had an early flight out and could not have been happier with the shuttle personnel too, she was happy and ready to go! Thanks for the excellent accommodations!

My husband and I needed to come to the area for the memorial service of a beloved family member. I researched hotels nearby and came upon Ayres Costa Mesa through Trip Advisor. This hotel seemed to be perfect for me. I called and Selena was so helpful with my request for a quiet room on an upper floor. I needed peace and quiet. When we arrived after a long flight and 2 hour drive from the airport, we were greeted by courteous friendly people at the front desk. We stayed in the older building, with its Old World charm and beautiful Garden Courtyard. My request for a quiet part of the hotel was fulfilled and the room and bed were comfortable, the bath very clean and accommodating. It was such a delight to be served delicious meals in the Garden by friendly and efficient staff members. The same was true for the elegant but cozy peaceful dining room. The lovely young lady who was our server for breakfast Sunday ( Olenafina? sorry! ) was the best -so gracious and helpful, and our breakfast was yummy. We loved our retreat at Ayres Costa Mesa during a difficult time for me. I can’t wait to go back!

I have always liked this hotel. It is charming. I am disappointed that they now charge for parking. That would be fine, but $24 a day is pricey and unexpected. They also have large signs for free parking for a meeting or dinner quests, which shows they do not value guests staying for all those and overnight. Their reason we were told at the front desk was to keep airport customers from leaving their car there extended. Easy fix, give us parking placards. |The mattresses also need a complete revise. They are very soft and problematic if you have any back issues. Restaurant is great.|We always stay at these properties to support small business, but will move to the fountain valley spot starting next month.

Spectacular hotel at a great rate. Clean everywhere. Big rooms. Great courtyard. Delicious food. No airport noise in the rooms. Simply a spectacular place to be.

We had about 10 rooms for a wedding party elsewhere. Everyone raved about it

I was very disappointed. The room was large and the bedding was very nice. The hotel staff was nice and the atmosphere of the hotel was quite nice. That is where it ends. The elevator did not work most of our stay. The TV in the room was very small and not a smart TV so we could not watch what we wanted to watch. I was woken up every morning by what sounded to be foot races upstairs. I jave never experienced this type of sound bleed in a hotel of this caliber. We paid a premium to stay in this space just to be charged $24 per night for parking on-site. I find this practice abhorrent. There is no reason to charge for parking where you are sleeping. I doubt I will stay in another Ayers establishment.

We had a good stay at the Ayres, Costa Mesa. The hotel is classically decorated and very clean. The lobby, the courtyard, and the pool area are beautiful. The rooms are nice and roomy. The location is right across from the John Wayne Airport so it can be a little noisy during peak travel times. My only complaint is the fee for parking. If it was in a downtown area I would understand but it’s not and hotel guest should have preferential parking over corporate meeting visitors which don’t have to pay. All in all it was an experience.
